The Present Condition of Cosmetic Acupuncture

TKM's "cosmetic acupuncture" is becoming increasingly popular these days. Before, plastic

surgery was the normal means of face lifting or wrinkle alleviation. But nowadays, many people

pay attention to TKM's cosmetic acupuncture for its effect of natural beauty. Why? While plastic

surgery of western medicine performs an artificial treatment such as inserting silicon in the face

or making incisions in the face despite big risks of side effects and a long period of recovery, TKM

doesn't damage the face. Instead, it makes drooping muscles recover by using acupuncture to

balance the face so that people can get well-balanced, natural beauty with minimum time,

minimum cost and the small risk of side effects. About 120 TKM doctors are performing

cosmetic acupuncture treatment in their clinics and the kinds of cosmetic acupuncture being

operated are face-lift acupuncture, darkrings-removing acupuncture, breast-extension

acupuncture, acupuncture to reduce the size of a face, and so on. In the center of this trend,

there is an institute called "Oriental Medicine Face Cosmetic Treatment Institute". This institute

was established in 2007 by 80 TKM doctors and has about 400 members now. "Oriental

Medicine Face Cosmetic Treatment Institute regularly makes a lecture and conference to

exchange and spread information of TKM's cosmetic acupuncture. Recently, they are trying to

expand their area to the world. The principal of Oriental Medicine Face Cosmetic Treatment

Institute, Song jung hwa, visited LA, USA, to form an American branch of Oriental Medicine

Face Cosmetic Treatment. I believe it is expectable that our TKM's cosmetic acupuncture will

become a big trend of cosmetic treatment in the world.

(A case of Cosmetic Acupuncture Treatment)

This is a case of woman in her 60s who got cosmetic acupuncture treatment on her face 5 times. A lot of the wrinkles around her lip disappeared. Her two-layered chin became thin, and the forehead looks younger too. Also, the whole face got elasticity, so the size of the face got smaller and the skin looks smoother.
